Artwork of the week: ‘The Rhinoceros’ by Gordon Froud

The Rhino, made out of the branches of a fallen tree, was constructed as a rubbish bin. This gesture is a comment on how we treat animals as consumer (throw away) products, in many cases resulting in extinction. Scientists have listed our human presence as an extinction-level event in earth’s natural history.
